mufti sahab,
Clarifying Q2)message 10--I mean after an Ijtima or a
religious gathering where deen is taught or Fazail Amaal is read one should complete by reading the dua after majlis i.e.'Subhanakalahumma----till wa atubo elaik' and then finish the jamaat. Is it right to read long long duas by ladies or men asking miscellaneous things etc.& crying in front of all? Is it not ria? They are no pious people.I feel reading duas for all & crying alone at home in your janamaz or anytime anywhere alone is far correct. Please say what is right

The answer of your question is as follows:
DuaˇŻa has a great value in the sight of Allah almighty. It is the most virtuous deed before Him. (Mishkat 1942) We are commanded to pray to Allah almighty of the present and the hereafter. The Glorious QurˇŻaan says, ˇ°And your Lord says: call on Me; I will answer your (prayer)ˇ± (Ghafir: 40 V: 60) And the Prophet of Islam (SWS) says that DuaˇŻa is the soul of worship. (Mishkat 194)

According to the Imam of all four schools of thoughts the collective DuaˇŻa after every congregation of obligatory Salat is Sunnat (Imdadul Fatawa V: 1 P: 795-816) not after a gathering whether religious or otherwise. It is Sunnat to windup the meeting with the DuaˇŻa of Majlis ˇ° Subhanallahi Wa Bihamdi Subhankallahumma Wa Bihamdika Ashhadu Alla Ilah Illa Anta Astaghfiruka Wa Atuboo Ilaikaˇ±. And it is allowed to supplicate collectively after a gathering occasionally but considering it as necessary is Bidat. The Prophet of Islam says, ˇ° Whosoever innovates a thing not in our religion (Islam) is rejected. (Ibne Maja 3)

It is better to supplicate with humility in private. The Glorious QurˇŻaan says, ˇ° Call on your Lord with humility and in private: for Allah loves not those who trespass beyond boundsˇ±. (Al-Aaraf 7 V: 55) But crying loudly in DuaˇŻa in front of people canˇŻt be considered simply as Ria. For, the actions are judged by intention. And most kinds of suspicion are baseless and to be avoided, and some are crimes in themselves. For they do cruel injustice to innocent people. The Glorious QurˇŻaan says, ˇ° O ye who believe! Avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion in some cases is a sinˇ± (Hujraat 49 V: 12)
