In Islam, after Marraige Bridegroom (Dulha)arrange for Walima, which is a Sunnah.
But Now, the parents of Bride(Dulhan) also have a Walima and they invite too many people i.e. 500-1000 persons. Whether the parents of Bride(Dulhan) can have a Walima? Is it permissible or not?
What is the guidelines of Quran-Hadith in this matter, please give detailed answer.

The answer to your question is as follows:

The feast which is arranged by parents of bride for Barati people is not walimah, it is only a feast. Walima is done from bridegroom and it is Sunnah. The parents of bride do not invite people for Walima rather they do it for show and pride and to gain popularity, which is strictly forbidden in Shariah. They are curse worthy and also those who accept their invitation.
