Dear Sister in Islam,
The answers to your questions are as follows:

It is amongst the responsibilities of parent to give good names to their children and teach them good manners. The Prophet of Islam (SAWS) is reported as having said, Ą°It is also a claim of the child on its father to give it a good name and teach it good mannersĄ±. The Prophet (SAWS) is also reported to have said, Ą°On the day of Resurrection, you will be called out by your name and the name of your father. So, give good namesĄ±.

The names express the servility and submission of oneself to Allah Almighty are amongst the good names such as Abdullah, Amatullah and like these kinds of names. Similarly, the names of prophets, companions (Sahabah & Sahabiat) and righteous people are considered good names. The names that convey good meanings are also amongst the good names. The Prophet (SAWS) named his grandsons Hasan and Husain. He also named a son of an Ansari companion Munzir.

Therefore, nothing is wrong to name someone Reshmi provided it carries a good meaning and is not amongst the names of disbelieves.

Since the Glorious QurĄŻan is the word of Allah Almighty, it must be respected. If unfortunately, the Glorious QurĄŻan slips from oneĄŻs hand, one should regret and repent over oneĄŻs carelessness. But this shouldnĄŻt be taken as a bad omen. There is no concept of bad omen in Islam but this concept may lead to coming out of the umbrella of Islam. And thatĄŻs why, the Prophet of Islam (SAWS) strictly prohibited to take bad omens. The Prophet (SAWS) is reported as having said, Ą°(There is) no Adva ( no contagious disease conveyed without AllahĄŻs permission) nor is there any bad omen (from birds) nor is there nay Hamah nor is there any bad omen in the month of SafarĄ± (Bukhari Vol: 2 Page 857)

It is better to avoid wearing the necklace or ring and locket over which the verse of the Glorious QurĄŻan is written. Since the purification of body and ablution is necessary for touching the Glorious QurĄŻan, one who is not in the state of performing Salah is not allowed to touch as well recite the Glorious QurĄŻan. But one who is cleaned and in the state of performing, can recite the Glorious QurĄŻan but canĄŻt touch it without ablution. Besides, one is not allowed to go to toilet, bathroom or other dirty places along with the ring or necklace mentioned above. Therefore, donĄŻt wear such rings, necklaces, lest you should fail to honour the word of Allah Almighty, the Glorious QurĄŻan.

And Allah knows th
