If a man or a lady whose hair starts greying at the age of 40 or earlier should they dye their hair with the black dyes available in the market? Is it forbidden or some particular black dye should be used & some particular dye to be avoided. Also should one only use Mendi as dye? Please advice. Also till what age should they dye, as some ladies are 60+ or 70 & still dye black.
Is it true that if you die at an age with white hair the angels do not question in their graves?

Dear Sister in Islam
The answer to your question is as follows:

It is Makrooh Tahreemi for both men and women to dye their hair black at any stage of their lives. Every black colour used for dyeing is prohibited; there is no difference between them.

Yes, Menhdi can be used for dyeing. It is allowed for both men and women at any stage of life. Rather, it is desirable for old ones whose hair has turned white.

It comes in the Ahadith that Allah feels shame to punish a person whose hair has gone white. I cannot confirm what you referred that the angles do question them in graves.

And Allah knows the best,
