Question By : Shamsuddin Abu Bakar.

As-salaamu'alaikum warah matullahi wabarakatuh,

My dear brother in Islam, how did you get my e-mail address?Anyway that is a small matter, but by coincidently I at present has got One matter corcerning aqidah.I would be happy if you could elaborate further. The problem is that I as a free-lance Consulting-Engineer's draughtsman
recently recieve a building plan from a Hindu friend. This good friend of me ask me to draw the Structural Plan for a Hindu temple.I am reluctant to do because I was thinking that it is against the Islamic faith.Anyway I try to get fatwa from an Ustaz and ideas from friends. But I'am still not satisfy. So if you could give your idea or fatwa regarding this problem, I'am very happy to recieve it.Again I would like to repeat the topic is ''Is it okay for a Muslim to draw plans for a Hindu temple?Until then, I do hope I could get feed back from you soon.

Thanks you.

Best regards,
Shamsuddin Abu Bakar.

Dear brother in Islam

First of all we regret for your inconvenience. As a matter of fact yesterday having answered your Question I felt in my heart that matter should be not like that. So I searched out many books of Fatawa and I also asked some other Mufties. Now, we found out a MasĄŻala, since work of a Mufti is to guide people to an easy way being confined with in the guidelines of Islamic Shariah. Hope you will never mind as it was my mistake since I could not think deeply then. However, I withdraw my previous position and now am saying in response of your Masala that to draw the Structural Plan for a Hindu Temple is allowed. Hence, you can go drawing this structural plan. But better avoiding such work as much as possible. (Ext from Shaami V.5 P.277)
Thanking You
