Al salaamu alaykum brothers in islam

I have the following question regarding the interpretation of the next verse from the Holy Qur'aan:
"And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salah, and Zakah, as long as I live" /19:31/

Herewith we are told that Allah /swt/ has enjoined the Salah on Jesses /a.s./ too.
So my question if the form of praying of Jesses /a.s./?
How he were performing this command?
What was the way Jesses /a.s./ used to pray?
Is there any relation with the Salah of the Muslims nowadays with those Salah of Jesses /a.s./?

Thank you for your assistance.

Al salaamu alaykum.

Dear Brother in Islam,
The answer to your question is as follows:

Salaah and Zakaah are the two worships, which have been prescribed in the ShariĄŻah of every prophet and messenger who was sent to this world from the first and foremost Messenger, Hazrat Adam (AS) to the last and final Prophet Muhammad (SAW). But the fashion and methods of performing these worships varied from ShariĄŻah to ShariĄŻah.

Allah Almighty promised His favour with the Children of Israel for long as they would establish Salaah and pay Zakaah. As He says, Ą°And Allah said: Ą°I am with you: if you establish regular prayer, pay Zakaah, believe in My messengers, assist them and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, verily I will absolve you of your evil, and admit you to gardens with streams of running water. But whosoever amongst you denies after this, will have wandered away from the right path.Ą± (Suratul-Mayidah 5: 12)

The Salaah of Israelis did consist of RukuĄŻ. It is amongst the characteristics of the Salaah of this Ummah; the Ummah of Muhammad (SAW). And thatĄŻs why Allah Almighty asked the Israelis to accept Islam and perform Salaah as the people of Muhammad do. Allah Almighty says, Ą°And be steadfast in prayer: give Zakaat and bow with those who bow (before Allah).Ą± (Suratul-Baqarah 2: 43) Therefore, the Salaah of Jesus (AS) differs from the Salaah of this Ummah in some manners.

And Allah knows the best,
