Dear sister in Islam
Wa Alaikumus Salaam

(1) If Alcohol used in medicine is made of grapes, dry grapes, dates, dry dates then such medicines are unclean (Najis) and can not be used except in the cases where no Halal alternative medicine is found.
(2) If Alcohol used in the medicine is made of other things, e.g. wheat, potato etc. then such kind of medicine can be used to cure diseases.
