Dear Brother In Islam
Wa'alaikus Salaam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu
I am very very sorry for the delay in the answers of you questions. Brother, since this Iftaa (Ruling of Islam as we believe may go to our Brothers in Islam, Saudi Ulama, it would be better and I feel bound to cover the topics in details. Therefore I request you forgive me of being late in providing the answers.
Collective Dua After Fraaidh. (Incumbent Namaazs)
To understand the topic comprehensively let us first highlight some of the major issues of the Topic so that we can reach to conclusion the easily.
1. Importance of Dua.
2. Uplifting of hands while making Dua.
3. Collective Dua after Fraaidh and its Legal Status.
4. Muslim Ummah and Application of Dua through the passage of times and ages.
5. Collective Dua and Some Indian Grand Salafi Scholars.
6. Dua, Slowly or Loudly?
7. Insisting upon collective Dua.
8. So-called Salafees and their attitude in respect of Collective Dua.
9. Collective Dua after finishing of Sunan. (Additional Salaat)
10. Fault of Al-Othaimin and Bin Baaz (May Allah Al-mighty for give them.) who label this collective Amal (of great Islamic scholars through out 13 centuries) as Bid'ah. What is a bid'ah?

These are few major point of the Topic. In Shaa- Allah I will try to explain each of the part one by one, in the light of Qur'an Hadeeth and Aslaafe Ummah. (The predecessor of this MuslimUmmah)
Importance of Dua.
It admits of no doubt, that Dua is the soul of all Ibaadaat. (Islamic Rituals) The prophet of Allah has been narrated to have said'' Ad-duao Mukh-khul Ibaadati'' (Dua is the essence of the worship) and this is the very reason that much importance have been given to Dua in the Ahaadees of the Prophet and in the holy verses of the Holy Qur'an. Whosoever has gone through the Kitaabud Daawaat of Hadees books would have found that no schedule in 24 hours of a Muslim should be empty of Dua. Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radhi Allahu Anhu on his authenticity narrates from the prophet of Allah '' Laisa Shayun Akrama Alalllahi Minad-Dua'' meaning, nothing of the world has the value that the Dua (of a Muslim) has in the kingdom of Allah. The Narrators of Ahaadeeth have collected many Dua of Prophet Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam. Amlul Yaum Wal-Lailah, Masnnon Duaai-n-, Hisne Haseen and Hisnul Muslims are the best works of Muhaddeseen, dealing in Dua. In one Hadeeth it is said that Allah is not happy from His those slaves, who do not make Dua and do not seek His mercy.
Imam Tirmidhi narrates a Hadith which reads' INNAHU MAN LAM YAS- A-LILLAH YAGHDHAB ALAIHI'' (Tirmidhi- page-175/2)
Quran Says, Ud-ooni Astajib Lakum Innal Lazeena Yastakberoona An Ibaadatee
Uplifting of hands while making Dua.
Uplifting of both the hands while making Dua is the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam. No one can show me a single Sahee Hadeeth which shows that prophet made a Dua and did not uplifted his hands.
Hazrat Salman Radhi Allahu Anhu narrates that the messenger of Allah said''
1. INNA RABBAKUM HAYYUN KAREEMUN YASTAHYEE MIN ABDEHEE IDHAA RAFA-A- ILAIHE YADAIHE AINYARUDDAHUMAA SIFRAN. (Your Sustainer, Allah is Alive and Kind. He feels Shy whenever he has to refuse the hands of His Slave empty.)
Bolooghul Maraam Lil- Haafidh Ibne Hajar Al Asqalani ( Published from Jamia Saalafia Banaras India Page No. 446 Babudh Dhikr Wad- Dua)
2. KAANA RASOOLULLAHI Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam IZA RAFA-A YADAIHI FID-DO-AA LAM YAHUT HUMAA HATTAA YAMSAHA BIHIMAA WAJHAHU. (Tirmidhi- page-176/2, Baabu maa jaa-a fi Raf-il Aydee)
The above Hadees with clear crystal announce that Prophet Muhammad Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam used to raise his hand while making Dua.
3. SALULLAAHA BI BOTOONE AKUFFIKUM WALAA TAS-ALOOHO BI ZAHOOREHIMAA FAIZAA FRAGHTUM FAMSAHOO BIHIMAA WOJOOHAKUM. (S.A. Daood Kitabus Salaat-Page-553)
4. INNAN NABIA KAAN IZAA DA-AA RAFA-A YADAIHI WA MASAHA WAJHAHU BIYADAIHI. (S.A. Daood Kitabus Salaat-Page-553)
5. INNA RASOOLALLAHI SAL-LAL-LAAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM LAM YAKUN YARFAO YADAIHI HATTAA YAFROGHA MIN SALAATIHI. (Majmauz Zawaaid lil-Haishami 109/10)
6. SALLAITU MA-A- RASOOLILLAAHI SAL-LAL-LAAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM ALFAJRA FALAMMA SALLAMA INHARAFA WA RAFA-A YADAIHI WA DA-AA. (Musannaf Ibne Abi Shaiba on the authority of Fataawaa Naziria-Page- 245/264) The very regressive point here is that This great Salafee Scholar Shaikhukl Kul fil Kul Maulana Syed Nazir Hussein, like other great Muslim Ulama, has quoted this Hadith in his famous book of Fataawaa ''Fataawaa Naziria-Page- 245/264''.
The famous author and great scholar Allamah Jalaaluddin Sewti and Allaamah Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman Yamani and many others have quoted this above Hadith in their books. They all have taken this Hadith from Musannaf Ibne Abi Shaibah as they have quoted in their book. But
Maulana Mukhtar Nadwi Of India has published Musannaf Ibne Shaiba from his petrodollar publication House '' Addaarus Salafiya Mumbai in 15 volumes and has made a deliberate Kheyaanat and Chori (embezzlement and theft) that he purposefully has removed this Hadith from Musannaf Ibne Shaiba
7. QAALA ABU MUSA DA-AN-NABIYO SAL-LAL-LAAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM WA RAFA-A YADAIHI WA RA-AITO BAYAADH IBTAIHI. (Bukhari Sharif- Kitabud Daawaat Page-0000)
8. KAANA RASOOLULLAHI SAL-LAL-LAAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM YARFAO YADAIHI ANHO SADRAHOO FID-DO-AAE THUMMA YAMSAHO BIHAA. (Musannaf Ibne Abdur Razzaq Page-247/2)
9. KAANA RASOOLULLAHI SAL-LAL-LAAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM Izaa Qazaa Salaatahoo Masaha Jabhatahoo Biyadehil Yumna Thumma Qaala Ashhado Allaa Ilaaha Illallahu. (Amlul Yaum wal-lailah-page-39)
10. INNA RASSOLULLAAHI SAL-LAL-LAAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM RAFA-A YADAIHI BAADA MAA SALLAMA WA HUWA MUSTAQBILAL QIBLATI FAQAALA ALLAHUMMA KHALLESIL WALEEDIBNAL WALEED. (Ma'arifus Sonan.Page. 133/3)
If anyone, sound minded, ponder, without a preconcept, over these Ahaadees of the Prophet Muhammad Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam, he can't dare to deny the Istehbaab (being desired and preferred) of uplifting hand while making Dua after Salaah.

Collective Dua after Fraaidh and its Legal Status
Keeping in mind the above and many other Ahaadees of Allah's' Prophet all famous four A-Immah (Imaam) and Islamic Scholar even some Salfi Scholars do agree that Collective Dua after Fraaidh is lawful and according to the Sunnah of Muhammad Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam. They prefer collective Dua to the individual one. They, in spite of calling it a Bidah, as some biased or not well posted Scholar have said or say, regard it Mustahsan and a prophetic way of calling Allah, substantiated by the Sunnah of Muhammad Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam.
However, it is merely a Sunnate Zaa'id (Sunnati Ghair Muakkadah) neither wajib nor fardh.
Muslim Ummah and Application of Dua through the passage of times and ages.
Verily I say that 99% of Muslim Ummah has been indulged from the time of Prophet Muhammad Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam upto this date of ours and, In Shaa Allah, they will be doing so to their last breath.
This unanimous, application of collective Dua tells that those who deny its Istehbaab have fallen in misgivings from Satan. Tawaarus and Ta-aamul of the Majority of Muslim Ummah on any point is a great proof of its being Hasan.
Hazrat abdullah Ibne Masood says'' MAA-RA-AAHUL MUSLIMOONA HASANAN FAHUWA INDALHI HASANUN. (Mishkat Sharif)
Whatsoever is good in the sight of Muslim Ummah, will be good in the sight of Allah Al-mighty also. Because the prophet has said that his Ummah would not be unanimous and of the same opinion on any thing that might be against the path of Islam.
And here the case is that all four Imams with their followers are of the opinion that Collective Dua after Fardh Namaaz is Mustahab. Prophet Muhammad Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam has been reported in many Hadith that he, uplifting his hands made Dua after fardh Namaaz. As Hadhrat Aswad Aamri and Hadhrat Abu Musaa have reported.
Collective Dua and Some Indian Grand Salafi Scholars.
Al-Hamdulillah, since truth always surpasses, we saw some of the Salfi Scholars like a greatly respected Maulana Syed Nazir Husain Muhaddith Dehlavi, Maulana Abdur Rahman Muhaddith Mubaarak Puree and Maulana Abdullah Ropari, all three Salfi Scholar, Respected and highly placed by the people, claiming themselves as Ahle Hadith, though they differ in many things, they have admitted the Jawaaz and Istehbaab of Collective Dua after fardh Namaaz.
For reference one can refer to the following books of Salafi Ulamaa.

Dua, Slowly or Loudly?
All for Masaalik, Hanafi, Maaliki, Shaafa'ee and Hambali are of the opinion that Collective Dua slowly is Mustahab. Fataawaa Rahimia-Vol.1 -Page-105/ 169/ 183 Qur'an Says' call your sustainer humbly and slowly.
Ahsanul Fataawaa -Vol.3-Page-60-68
Insisting upon collective Dua.
Since collective Dua after Fraaidh is confirmed from the sayings as well as the actions of Prophet it has been classified as Sunnah. Therefore, if someone insist upon this Dua to the extent that he considers the prayers without Dua as null or incomplete, the collective Dua, in this case, would be invalid.
Ahsanul Fataawaa -Vol.3-Page-60-68

So-called Salafees and their attitude in respect of Collective Dua.
In the light of above mentioned ahaadith and their interpretations by great Islamic Scholars and their view, there remains no doubt that Prophet himself has insisted upon Dua after Namaaz as he did. He also said that Dua after Namaaz is more close to be accepted, but alas! 99 percent Salfi neglect this Dua. It seems as if they need not any Dua. Soon after the Salaam of Imaam most of them leave Masjid and some stand up for Sunnat. I wish them to see and ponder over the glorious verse of the Glorious Qur'an. ''INNAL LAZEENA YASTAKBEROONA AN IBAADATII SAYAD KHOLOONA JAHANNAMA DAAKHEREEN.''

Collective Dua after finishing of Sunan. (Additional Salaat)
In some of the countries as seen in Indian sub continent, Imaam with Muqtadee makes a short Dua and after finishing Sunnah once again the make Dua loudly with great insistence. No doubt this Dua is a Bid'ah which has no back up in the actions of the Prophet or his companions nor it is seen in the History of Ummah at large upto the three stages of Muslim Ummah. This is the later renovation adopted by Mubtadeeen. May Allah abase them or give them Taufeeque to come on the way of Islam.
Misgivings of Al-Othaimin and Bin Baaz (May Allah Al-mighty for give them.) who label this collective action of great Islamic scholar as Bid'ah.
We know that after the coup in Saudi Arabia, From the Time of Aale Saud's Government (May Allah support them and save their control from the tyranny of Jewish hand America and its evil alliance) Saudi Arabia has been a soft land for Ghair Muqalledeen. Jamia Islamia Madina Munawwarah that was established for spreading Islamic though and beliefs produced many so-called scholars who in spite of having faith in their knowledgeable Islamic predecessors try to take Masaa-el direct from the two open source of Islam. There are some who have respect for the early Islamic Scholars but they blindly follow Allaa-mah inbe Taimiyah or Ibne Qyyim. (May Allah be pleased with them) though they have not much knowledge, they have been famous on the account of government. The above mentioned two names are from the same category. Both of them say that Allah's Rasool, uplifting both the hands, never did Dua, nor his companion did so.
I don't know on what basis they denied those Ahaadith where prophet uplifted his hands and did Dua after his Salatul Fajr etc.
In their view every thing that wasn't in the time of prophet or not mentioned directly in the Qur'an or Hadith is called Bid'ah. While according to this definition both of them become Bid'ah. We know that Bid'ah means any thing added to the Shariah of Islam provided that has no back up and any kind of evidence in Quran Hadith, Ijmaa and Qeyaas, based on these three sources, implied by Islamic Mujtahid. In other word, which has now proof in Ibaaratun Nas, Ishaaratun Nas, Dalaalatun Nas or Iqtezaaun Nas As the word Man Ahdasa Fee amrenaa Haazaa connotes.

2. Tawassul Bil Ambiyaa and Auliya
Tawassul is an Arabic word which means take something as the source and being close. Tawassala ila Allaah means to be close to Allah. Tawassul Bil Ambiyaa and Auliya in a Dua means taking Ambiyaa and Auliya or their names as an assured source for the acceptance of Dua. However, Tawassul and Waseelah are synonymous and homogeneous words. Whosoever, indulges in Tawassul, be from Ambiyaa or Auliyaa, he asks and makes Dua from Allah alone. He thinks that he does not have any pleasant and worthy deed that he can offer to Allah Al-mighty so he fears that his applications may be rejected. But he loves Allah's friends, which is also an act of Ibaadat. Therefore he offers Ambiya and Auliyaa or their dignity for the acceptance of his Dua. For he knows that Ambiya and Auliyaa are the most beloved, of all creatures, to Allah. They are friends of Allah. When they ask something from Allah for themselves or for others surely Allah accepts their plea.
There is no doubt that Allah has given them high rank and reverence. (Azmato Hurmat) their sacredness sanctity remains same whether they are alive or dead. Don't we see that we are to respect them inn their lives as well as after their demise. If anyone slights, disgrace or slander them though after their death, he becomes Kaafir. Why? The answer is that they respected after their death in the same manner as they were respected in their lives. Therefore, their disgrace after they have past away, is as if to disrespect them in their lives.
Hence, if someone ask Allah Al-mighty any thing with the help of Ambiya or Auliyaa (that by the Waseelah of Ambiyaa or Auliyaa) it is hoped that his application will not be in vain. And this Waseelah will be dealt equally whether in their or after their lives. To differentiate between the Tawassul in the life and Tawassul after life and thus approving first and nullifying the later has no basis.
I am really astonished on those who disallow a permissible and desired way of Dua and have no proofs neither in Qur'an nor in Hadith. On the other hand, The first and foremost leader of Indian Salfees, Maulana Syed Nazeer Husain Dehlavi died in 1320 A.H. writes in the last of his famous book Meyaarul Haque Page no. 39 published from Maktaba Nazeeriya '' HAAZAA AAKHIRO MAA ALHAMAL ALLAAHU KHAALIQUS SAQALAIN ABDAHUL AAJIZ MOHAMMAD NAZIR HUSAIN AAFAA HULLAAHU FIDDAARAIN BIJAAHE SYEDIS SAQALAIN Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam.
If Maulana Syed Nazir Husain can use the word Bijaahi Syedis Saqalain, (meaning with the dignity of chief of men and Jinn) why this becomes Haraam for Ahnaaf (May Allah appreciate their efforts and let them prevail the worlds.

Here a question arises that why Prophet Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam himself did not make Dua? Why did he ask the applicant to do Dua?
Unbiased person may got the answer from the Hadith that Prophet knew well that he will not be in this world for forever. So he not only asked the man to make Dua but also he thought that his presence is not necessary. One may ask Allah with the Waseelah of His Ambiyaa though after their death.

There is a very famous Hadith in Bukhari and Muslim both that three people were going somewhere. But the rain took them. They took shelter in a cave. Suddenly a rock rolled down to the door of cave. There was no another exit to come out. Then they all three made Dua with the Waseelah of their good deeds. Allah Al-mighty accepted their Dua and the rock rolled to the other side. Thus the door was clear and they came out of the cave. For details refer Bukhari- Hadith no. 2164/ 2275/ 4633/ 5740.

(Al-Mojam Alkabir-Hadith no. 8311 Vol-9 Page-301)

This story happened in the period of Hadhrat Usman's Khilaafat. And here Hadhrat Usman bin Haneef asked the man to do Waseelah of the Prophet Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam. Had the Waseelah been prohibited, Hadhrat Usman would have not asked the person for this Waseelah.

(Bukhari Shareef Vol.1- Page 137 Hadith No. 1000)

This Hadith is very strong proof that Tawassul from any Pious and Allah fearing person other than the Prophets is also allowed.
The Salfi Scholars according to their mind set up interpret and guess wrongly that, since Tawassul Bil Mautaa (expired personalities) is not allowed, Hadhrat Umar did not do Tawassul from the Prophet or they have not understood the Hadith. Because their interpretation contradicts with many other Hadith which allow Tawassul from expired pious persons. Herer, in this Hadith, there is no word that even indicates that Tawassul from a person after his death is not allowed. Salfi Scholar according to their nature must present any Hadith before labeling any thing as Haram.

However, Waseelah of Alive with it's both the kinds, Waseelah from Ambiya and Auliya after their death and Waseelah from good deeds all are allowed rather an strong source for the grant of one's application in the kingdom of the kind and the benevolent Allah.
I end this topic with the text of a great Islamic Scholar
''INNAT TAWASSUL BINNABIYE WA BE AHADIM MINAL AULIYAA IL IZAAM JAAIZUN BE-AN- YAKOONAS SOWALO MINALLAHI TA-AALAA WA YOTAWASSALO BEWALIYEHI WA NABIYEHI (Imdaadul Fataawaa-327/6)

The Creation of Prophet Muhammad Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam from the Noor of Allah the exalted.

Answering a question Maulana Mufti Mahmoodul Hasan Gangohi writes about the two famous Hadith '' LAULAAKA LAMAA KHALQTUL AFLAAK AND ANA MIN NOORILLAH WAL KHALQO KULLOHUM MIN NOORI'' The first Hadith is Maudhoo (fabricated) by words and correct by meaning. And the second Hadith is found in Musannaf Ibne Abdur Razzaque. Fataawaa Mahmoodiya-Vol.1 -Page-72

WALLAAHU MA-AKUM AINAMAATAKOONOO
And Allah is with you wherever you are. Most of the translators have translated this and other similar verses that Allah has the full knowledge of our all activities.
In Allah's attributes the safe way is to shut up mouth. We should not guess Allah on ourselves. Where Allah is? No one can certainly say a word. As for Hadisul Jariah'' Ainallah? Qaalat fis-Samaa-e. is Muztrab. And in the matter of faith and belief no one is allowed to substantiate his idea from a Za-eef- Hadith.

Reading Maulana Maudoodee's Book
In fact, Maudoodee Sb was not a Maulana as he has proclaimed about himself. However, if he was sincere in his effort Allah will reward him. However some of his books are correct. Aljihaad fil Islam, Pardah and Soodh (interest) are among those books that were written under the patronage of Maulana Mufti Kifayatullah and Maulana Ahmad saeed and stand correct. But most of his books, particularly Tafhimaat, Khilaafato Molookiyat and his Tafhimul Qur'an are based on Shia'te Riwaayaat and Biblical informations. To mention a few, he writes that Hadhrat Usman did injustice in appointing the governors. He gave Key post to his own relatives. Khilaafato Molookiyat,Page 97/107 / 106/ Ashaabun NabiPage, 201. He was not fit for Khilaafat as his predecessors had been. Tajdeed wa Ihyaa-e- Deen Page 23. Sahaabaa were greedy and hence they were defeated in Ghazwa-e- Ohad. Hadhrat Muaawia was Bidati. He did a Khiyanat in the distribution of Maale Ghaneemat. In short, according to him, Hadhrat Muaawia was against the Sunnah of Muhammad Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam Khilaafato Molookiyat-Page- 162 /163/ 1161/ 144/ 141. He says that to follow any Imam or any person in the matter of Deen is mental slavery and should be avoided. He says no one is above the remarks and thus he remarks on Sahaabaa-e Kiraam and the Amaa-e-deene Ummat. Not to speake of companions of the Prophet Muhammad Sal-Lal-Laahu Alaihi Wasallam, Maudoodi Sahab in many places has slandered many great Ambiya-e- Kiram. He writes that Hadhrat Ibraheen did not conceive that the Prophethood was the not inheritance of any father's semen or sperm. See his Tafseer under the verse Wa jaailoka Linnase Imaamaa. Surah Baqrah.Hadhrat Yunus made hurry and ran from his duty. Hadhrat Nooh was an unsuccessful prophet. However, these are few glimpses, on these accounts we do ask modern educated and beginners not to read his books.

May Allah save us from wrongs and give us taufeeq to have respect for all his beloved slaves. Give us Taufeeq for those deed by which he pleases.
Note.
For any reference, from Qur'an, Hadith, Ijmaa and Qeyaas I request you Brother Aftab to go through I'laaus Sonan by Allamaa Zafar Ahmad Usmani and ask your Ghair Muqallid fellows to read it. I dare to say, if he is sincere and seeker of truth he will become Hanafi. Better you buy the book. This will help you a lot.
